When I walked through the doors of New Life Community Church of the Nazarene, it was a Food4Life Saturday. I met Pastor Curt Lunsford and was invited to services the following day. My reply was, “I don’t own a dress”. I was told to come as I am and I would be welcomed and loved on.
This was early 2015. I had been out of the Church for over 30 years. I was broken, lost, with no purpose and no meaning or direction in my life. I was purposefully looking for Jesus.
During my first trip to Ladies Retreat in 2017, I was touched by God and my life was transformed in that moment.
Jesus Christ is retraining my way of thinking. He is teaching me to maneuver in this chaotic world and still live a godly life. Thank you, Jesus! I’ve been taking what I’m learning by Pastor Lunsford and Pastor Tom and Bible studies and classes and making the changes that need to be made. This reshaping and transformation Christ has blessed me with brings an inner joy and peace that only Christ can give.
Practicing till it becomes a habit is an awesome journey. Christ has led me on many journeys and I have a freedom within because, for every journey He leads me on, He give me Victory. Thank you, Jesus!
My trust, hope, and faith are in my Lord and Savior Christ Jesus!!!
His abundant grace and mercy every day are words unspeakable and joy unspeakable. His rewards in obedience are phenomenal! He is who He says He is. My life has purpose, meaning, and direction. No longer am I lost or broken. In all I say and do, I am Holy Spirit-led.
Thank you, Jesus, for saving my life. Thank you for leading me into righteousness. Thank you for being who you say you are. Thank you, Lord for the journeys we are on and the many to come.
